While traveling can be fun, it can also spread lots of germs. We must protect ourselves and others from germs and sickness. Holliswood Center cares about your health and well-being.
Here are four things you can do on your next journey to keep yourself safe.
Clean Your Surroundings: Germs live everywhere, especially on a plane that sees thousands of people. Bringing sanitary wipes to clean the armrests, seatbelt, seat pocket, tray table, and the touchscreen entertainment center can help combat the germs. Also, don’t forget to bring your wipes to the bathroom to wipe down the door handle, seat, flush button, and sink.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking enough water during your flight will keep your mucous membranes in your throat and nasal passages from drying up. Because of the increased altitude and speed during the flight, drink at least eight ounces of water every hour.
Avoid Touching Your Face: While it might be hard, it’s important. Airports and planes are dirty and see hundreds of thousands of people daily. We are interacting with different germs and illnesses we might not see, so it’s important to wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.
Wear a Mask: Wearing a mask can help your body and adds a layer of protection against those who are coughing or sneezing while on the plane. Try to leave your mask on for the duration of the flight.
Stay safe on your travels!
